2013

Hi Lisa,

Please forgive me for not writing you sooner. It took me quite awhile to recover from my “trip of a lifetime”.

I loved our time together so much. The minute I saw you outside Le Meurice I knew you would be divine and we would have the great time. The day was magical. I loved everything we did together and I especially loved getting to know you. What a life you’ve had. I have no idea how you had the courage to go to Paris as you did.

I have to say the city seemed overwhelming at times. But not the first 2 days. Thank you for taking me to Angelina’s and then rushing over to meet me there again. You were so much fun!! The apartment was very nice and its location perfect. We spent a lot of time on Rue Cler. Your itinerary was great and easy to follow. We had a lot of laughs as we tried to navigate the metro system and actually get to Versailles…which we did eventually…and I’m not kidding…just before it closed!

I could go on and on but my hands won’t let me. Thank you Lisa for me best trip I could have ever imagined. You are amazing and we all were so grateful to have you with us in spirit and guiding us every day all around the most beautiful city.

If you ever get to SF please call me! I can’t imagine ever being able to go anywhere else in Europe, but one never knows… Merry Christmas!!!

Most sincerely,

Lisa,

Once again you made our trip so special with the wonderful itinerary that your put together for us. George could not say enough about how impressed he was with the details.

Well…we made it home safely. George had eye surgery on Friday the 25th and is now in for a rather long recovery. Unfortunately the retinal tear was quite bad. Life as it is can be unpredictable, and so this was so unexpected for my husband. He is such a healthy man so this was really out of the blue to happen.

We are so grateful to so many people who helped us work through this problem. Your support was so comforting and we cannot thank you enough. I will continue to sing your praises but I would love to do more to serve as a reference if I could. Please suggest.

We have left Paris with the full intentions of a return visit. Once is not enough to enjoy such a beautiful city. We will think of Paris often and you will be a part of those wonderful memories. We look forward to returning to your beautiful city.

Best regards,

Dear Lisa,

My family and I cannot thank you enough for all your thoughtful advice in Paris. Though I have been to Paris a dozen times and worked at a French Bank – I could never have made our family trip as perfect as you did.

You were spot on with all the sights places, and restaurants that we would enjoy with kids and how to maximize our time spent in Paris, where there is so much to do and see it can be overwhelming. Most importantly … when I wanted to spend a night out with my husband, you set us up with an amazing babysitting service that relieved all my fears and let us have a fantastic night out!

Lisa, I have stayed at most of the top hotels and none of the concierge services even come close to the care and detail you gave us. I would say a “must do“ on the Paris list is to talk to you first!

We look forward to our next trip with your assistance there soon!

Hi Lisa,

The chauffeur-driven 4 hr. car experience was wonderful; just got back from France and still jet-lagged, but think the driver’s name was Jean-Luc. He was very professional and very helpful. It was a super tour of Paris; the “newbies” got a great overview, and it was good to see places again that I have not visited in years. Only the best to say about the entire day, just perfect!

Thank you,

Dear, Lisa:

Sorry I haven’t been in contact sooner, but I had a real estate deal closing on October 1, and I had to hit the ground running when we returned. I just wanted to share some observations about the arrangements you made for us this time:

Guy Savoy was ethereal… what food and WHAT service!!

Chez L’Ami Jean has indeed changed, but we enjoyed ourselves immensely… especially the show from the chef!

La Cordonnerie was as good as last time; met some lovely Aussies at the next table and had a marvelous evening.

L’Atelier du Joel Robuchon was everything we expected… and the mashed potatoes… TO DIE FOR!! Karen had 2 helpings!

The lunches in Chartres and Giverny were lovely, with the stand-out being Le Moulin des Fourges… outstanding food, quaint setting and VERY reasonably priced!

Our driver to Giverny was excellent, and Fredrick, our guide through the Loire Valley was charming and very knowledgeable.

Malcolm was just a dear, and SO interesting. We could have spent an entire day with him at Chartres. We bought several of his books; what a charming man, as well.

Yes, everything was again perfect, right down to our picnic on the Seine. We bought some Balotta-Ballota sandwiches and enjoyed them with a bottle of wine on a bench between the Pont des Arts and the Pont Neuf on our last day in Paris. That night we indulged in Escargot and Cuisses des Grenouilles at L’Escargot du Montorgueil, and then, sadly, home.

We are already planning next year. A 2 week guided tour of Italy beginning in Sorrento and finishing up in Venice. Some free days in Venice, on to Nice for 6 days, train to Paris and 9 days there. We’re going May 22 – June 25. Paris is in our blood, now!

Thanks for checking back. Have a great day!

Lisa:

Sorry I am not on Facebook nor LinkedIn. I did want to say that you made our experience exponentially better. Your arrangements of the places to visit were spectacular and made our visit much easier. Many people have been amazed at all we did and we were able to do that because of you. The dinner boat cruise and the Loire Valley were the highlights and both were your suggestions.

It was a once in a lifetime trip that you helped magnify. Once again thanks for everything, you are the best. You can quote me on that.

Lisa,

Thank you so much for all of your help. We couldn’t have had the great trip we had without your help. The itinerary you provided was perfect. The restaurants we ate in were wonderful, especially La Cordonnerie, Reed and Au Vieux Paris D’Arcole. The sites were terrific and memorable and the planning was invaluable.

While the itinerary was jam packed with places to see and things to do, it was very manageable and constructed in a way that gave us flexibility to change when we wanted to and still allowed us to maximize our experience and see as much as we could. And having it in writing also serves as a great tool to help us reconstruct our journey and label the pictures properly (after a while all the churches look the same, especially from the inside.)

Thank you again for making our first trip to Paris so wonderful and memorable.

Sincerely,
Bator and Karen Kovacs

Bonjour Lisa,

I’m sorry I didn’t write you before, I had been meaning to check back in with you and let you know what a wonderful time we had. The apartment was lovely, the location was excellent and the schedule you came up with was perfect. The order in which we did things made perfect sense and we had plenty of time to relax and enjoy ourselves!

Some of the things that worked so well included doing the Eiffel tower tour on the first full day – our guide was interesting, informative and funny. Much of what she said stuck with us so when we were wandering around we would remember her comments and we felt well situated. Going to the L’Orangerie prior to visiting Giverny was also an excellent choice. Both the bike tours were fun, although Versailles was more enjoyable than Giverny, primarily due to the guide (and perhaps because Ethan got to do more biking). I would still recommend both.

Finally, with regard to the restaurants, we loved Le Reminet and L’Epi Dupin, both the food and the service. While we really enjoyed the food at Violon D’Ingres (the foie gras was amazing), we felt like the restaurant really catered to tourists, I don’t think there were any French people there while we were there. The best meal we had was at Spring on Rue Bailleul, this actually was the best meal we have ever had, the food, the service and the total experience (open kitchen) – I would highly recommend it!

So thanks again for helping to make our vacation unforgettable, we will definitely recommend your services to any of our friends and colleagues who will be travelling to Paris

Best,
Fran

Hi Lisa,

I’m sorry to have taken so long to reply to your email. As is usually the case, coming back from leave saw us inundated with work, and we had to concentrate on that for a while to get our heads back above water!

The trip to Paris was truly memorable for all of us. Highlights were many. Your organisation of us was just right – you have the unique skill of being available whenever needed but not intrusive or over-the-top. Also your knowledge of the city meant that there was something for everyone – the first timers like me were constantly in awe, but the old-hands like Leslie who have been to Paris many times still had an amazing time seeing and doing things they would never have thought of.

Yes, we have already spoken highly of you to our friends, and I have no doubt you will be contacted by others wanting to employ your services in the future! For us, we haven’t decided yet but we are thinking of maybe going to London next year or to New York. Are you able to provide us with concierge services for either of those?

I hope you continue to enjoy your work as much as we enjoyed having you look after us!

Dear Lisa,

…don’t know where to begin to express our gratitude to you for your part in the ‘Perfect Paris Vacation”, but we will try.

We thank you for the time and effort that you invested in the phone calls and planning for us such wonderful and amazing experiences and adventures! Thank you for making reservations at and suggesting restaurants – especially Le Jules Verne! – that was so very special for us! Au Vieux Paris d’Arcole was simply unforgettable and Frederico will be discussed forever! The tours and the guides were simply out of this world!

We cannot come up with enough superlatives to describe our three weeks in magical Paris. So much of that experience was thanks to you, and so we do….thank you from the bottom or our hearts!!

Best!

Dear Lisa,

We all returned from Paris the evening of the 7th of July and I made it back to Kansas late on the 10th. Have been busy unpacking, doing laundry and all of those usual things. But I wanted to write you to say thank you so much for planning such a wonderful enjoyable trip for us. I fell in love with Paris and wish I could have stayed longer or that I could return but the chances of my getting back are not good. I am sure that Gil and Valorie will be back but at my age it is not probable that I will and I doubt very much that Amelia makes it back either.

We had a tremendous time and much of it was because you put together such a perfect itinerary for us. We saw and did all we could see or do in our time frame. There were things on the itinerary that we did not get to do as some days, we had tried to pack too much into – but I think we did all the important things and certainly all the fun things. I loved every minute of the trip.

The apartment was beautiful and so perfect for our use. I was very fond of the Latin Quarter as it was so handy to see so much and had so many wonderful things right there for us.

We walked miles and ate tons of food but did not gain any weight which was a miracle. The French certainly know how to do breads and pastries better than anyone else. I found the French people very warm and helpful and we had no problems whatsoever.

Thank you so much for all you did.

Best Wishes to you in the future and once again thank you for everything.

Lisa,

We had a wonderful time due in large part to you and your suggestions. I knew I had found a gem when all my inquires were promptly and efficiently answered as I prepared for our trip.

The apartment was in a perfect location and we appreciated all the “small” touches that made our arrival and stay easier. There was not a thing about the experience that needed improvement which is quite an accomplishment. I will definitely recommend you and your company to my colleagues.

I must add that Agatha and Frederic were fantastic and very patient with our 77 year old traveling companion. We most appreciated that they were prompt and very knowledgable. Every trip went perfectly and they both made the outings a memorable experience for all of us. Having engaged your services made all the difference in our trip and provided us with life long memories. Please pass on our appreciation to Agatha and Frederic.

Thank you again for your assistance and many thanks to all in your company that assisted us before and during our stay.

Lisa,

It is I who has to say MERCI. Your itinerary was wonderful. Unfortunately four old ladies couldn’t get it all done in a week. That leaves us more to see the next time. My favorite streets were George V and Av Montaigne for ogling and gawking. I went into many of the stores, which is why we were so slow. Rue Cler has a great gelato shop, and Saint Dominique had just about anything one needs for daily living. I think I went into every one of the shops on both streets. We never encountered a single person who wasn’t helpful and cheerful.

I do not participate in either Facebook or LinkedIn, as I don’t want to know that much about my family and friends. However, be assured that I already have and will continue to pass your name along to any and everyone who even thinks they are going to go to Paris or London. I would be most happy to write a letter if you can post it on Facebook, or please feel free to use this email for the same purpose.

What a lovely city. I was completely in awe of everything, and your insight allowed us to see parts of Paris that we would never have been aware of on a tour or, perish the thought, go without some assistance.

Best of luck and I will be in touch with you when we return, as we will have a better idea of timing, etc. and can get your advice on what is happening… Linda and I are already working on a return.

Bonjour Lisa,

Bill and have just returned from a fabulous stay in Paris and the Loire Valley. I wanted to thank you for your excellent planning with regards to our itinerary… we followed it the entire week!

Thanks to you, we were able to get around and see so much more of Paris than we would have on our own. One of the many highlights was our cooking class with Catherine Reed… she is so lovely. We were lucky enough to spend an evening with her at the restaurant as well. We also had a fantastic dinner at Le Violon d’Ingres… highly recommend the tasting menu with wine pairings! The fat tire Versailles bike ride is also memorable… they have one of the best markets there for picnic supplies, and what a chance to picnic on the grounds of Versailles.

I also wanted to share some information with you about our excellent experience in the Loire, which I think your clients would also love. Cathy and Nigel Henton run Letasting Room, which includes wine education and tasting of wines from the Loire. They make it very easy for travelers to do as a day trip from Paris, as they will personally pick up/drop off from the train station. The day tour includes a morning of wine education in their charming restored barn, lunch paired with wines in the wine cave, and then a stroll thru the Hamlet along the Loire. They will assist with accommodations if someone wants to spend more than a day, and Bill and I were lucky enough to stay several evenings in their restored barn. This is a very personal experience… and was the highlight of our entire trip. I’m sure Cathy would be happy to share more details, and knowing her, she will probably invite you down to experience it for yourself! The website is www.letastingroom.com

Again, thank you so much Lisa.

Dear Lisa,

We took the Bateaux Parisiens last night and we want to thank you very sincerely for your recommendation. The food service (and of course the scenery) were outstanding and, as you said, we had a great table right in the front of the boat.

Again many thanks and very best wishes,
John and Pauline

Dear Lisa,

As we are now packing away and busily hugging each other saying good bye, just a quick note to let you know that because of your professionalism, expertise and guidance… the siblings had a truly MEMORABLE time!!! It was truly very special! Thank you!

A lot of wonderful stories, and side-issues, but it was truly one for the books! My 3 sisters all had a great time, with Karen feeling really left out of both the amazing experience at Versailles and today’s visit to the Louvre having to leave early!

Thank You! I’m truly very grateful for EVERYTHING with the only exception of not being able to have invited you to a meal or a drink, so that we could have all said thank you in person and properly!

Will definitely be coming back for more glorious trips and other exciting travels in the future. And, be very happy to refer you to any/all my friends that are looking for an incomparable and memorable visit to beautiful France!

PS: Stay in touch! Should your travel with family take you to Shanghai or Hawaii, you will be well taken care of by me and/or my staff!
